After COE, I remember ads on BBC America for "Being Human" and deciding to pass because I didn't really think I wanted to get involved with any other BBC shows (I don't think I knew "Merlin" was a BBC show when I started watching it.) Hearing about what happened on that show, I'm kind of glad I didn't pick it up.
