I seem to have a disease in signing up for too many fests. Last year I had so many fests I was signed up for, that seemed to overlap, for much of the year. The summer, especially, was my busiest time. But this year, some of them didn't come back (yet), or came back later, so I didn't feel so bogged down. This summer I only had [livejournal.com profile] summerpornathon and [livejournal.com profile] aftercamlann (and I still managed to mess that one up.)

But all of a sudden there are so many interesting fests and I feel like I've signed up for all of them. It's definitely going to be a busy time the next couple of months trying to get everything done (which I'm determined to do.)

First I've got a rough draft due for [livejournal.com profile] teenwolf_bb on Sept. 17.
Then there's [livejournal.com profile] aftercamlann amnesty week Sept. 23-30.
Then there's Gluttony Remix, a mini-fest for my team from summerpornathon that's due on Oct. 3.
After that I have some time before my Teen Wolf Fall Harvest fic is due on Oct. 31.
But then I have a few things due around the same time. There's [livejournal.com profile] merlinmpreg which you can pick your own posting date, that's from Nov. 1-15. I have [livejournal.com profile] reel_torchwood on Nov.15 and then the next day it's the final draft due for the Teen Wolf Big Bang.

There's also another Teen Wolf Big Bang I'm doing, but the rough draft for that's not due until January. And even with all that due in Nov, I'll probably sign up for [livejournal.com profile] merlin_holidays which, if it holds to last year's schedule will be due around Thanksgiving.

All this, with wedding planning to do. So I say I am definitely insane. But I have a lot of story ideas I'm excited about, so it's not all bad.

Scientists really need to get cracking on a cure for procrastination.

Making another beta request. I haven't talked to my usual beta in awhile and I've spent so much time trying to work on my story that I neglected to find another beta, and now it's a week before my posting date for [livejournal.com profile] merlinreversebb story is due and I need help.

I have over 8,000 words done so far and I don't need so much help with spelling, though if my beta could catch any errant typos that would be great. I mostly need help with grammar, continuity, and pacing issues.

I can't offer any cash incentives, or naked Colin or Bradley, but my eternal gratitude. :)

I'm trying to post a fic to LJ, but when I preview it, none of the words show up. Well, they show up but it looks black. I worte the document on Google Docs. The only words that showed up in white, were ones I wrote using livejournal. I don't know if that's because the background of my page is black or what. Do I need to change my page design? I tried changing the font color, but that didn't help. If anyone could help me before I go bald, I'd really appreciate it.

I've known I'm a procrastinator for a long time and have always meant to get better about it, but it never seems to happen. I know that nothing good comes from my procrastination. Especially when it comes to my writing. I thought I learned my lesson the last time I had a writing assignment and waited too late, but apparently not.

I have two projects due for fests next week and don't have an official beta yet. Was wondering if anyone on my F-list could help me out and take a look at them when I'm done. A quick look for grammar issues and spelling, and especially for my merlin_horror submission, if it makes any sense.

Had a pretty good Fourth of July. I've never really done too much to celebrate it. And I'm not really much of a cookout person. I don't really relish fighting bugs for my food. Thankfully, the threat of rain kept the festivities mostly inside. We ate the stickiest, messiest stuff. We had ribs, corn on the cob, and crab legs. I think we all went through 20 rolls of paper towels.

My boyfriend and his family are from Maryland and they really love their crab. This was only the second time I'd had it. They were all very handy with several pointers. Once you get the meat out it can be good. But, MAN, that is a lot of work for a little piece of meat. When we were finished, I joked that we'd had our meal and a workout.

There are a number of reasons that I need to get my life (firstly being it's about time) but a big one is so I can avoid awkward family get together conversations. I hate when a group is gathered together(no matter how small) and someone turns to me with a curious/concerned look on their face and starts off "So..." and then I start to be pelted with all matter of questions about all the stuff that I haven't managed to accomplish yet. It's usually very well meaning, but I hate when I'm the center of attention. And I hate it even more when I feel like a bigger loser than I already do. /mini rant over. Other than that, everything went ok.

I signed up for Merlin Olympics! What was I thinking? I've never written Merlin fic before and now I'm signed up for two fests(the other reel_Merlin) posting around the same time. I really hope I can pull this off.
