I thought it was a very interesting episode. I enjoyed a little more than the past two episodes.

I'll just get my one big gripe out of the way. Allison/Isaac - Do. Not. Want. It's pretty much the only part of the episode I was extremely meh about (Well that and the Jennifer/Derek scene but that was made better by the end of the episode.) It's not just being a Scott/Isaac shipper. I don't realistically think anything is going to happen romantically between those two. But I love their bromance. They're really just starting to form a true bond and I don't want to see that ruined. I know Jeff Davis says that he isn't a fan of triangles, but if Scott's reaction were to be written at all realistically he would not be fine with this.

Plus, I just don't think Allison and Isaac have a huge heap of chemistry. They don't have anti-chemistry or anything but I was just bored by all of their scenes and the not subtle attempts by the show to show where they're going with this. Ooh, look at Allison straddling Isaac. Ooh, look at their hands touching. Ooh, look at her shoulder bumping into his (and like seriously I know Isaac is a horny teenager but you would think by his reaction she had rubbed her ass against his crotch like she did with Scott. Simmer down, Isaac.) For me I was just thinking "Ooh, can we move on to the next scene please.")

I don't see any reason to pair them either. Other than the conflict with Scott I don't see any really potentially interesting by their pairing. Allison/Derek would have led to far more interesting storylines. I hope they weren't paired together just because Daniel and Crystal were going out. Anyway, I'm sure I'll deal with it. I highly doubt they'll be a long-term couple or one of those couples I hate that take over the show like Arthur/Gwen.

Anyway, moving on. A pairing that I am liking and am really surprised about is Danny/Ethan. That kind of snukc on me. I just think that they're very sweet together. And this show with all it's death and pain could use a little of that. Plus, it does increase the chances of Danny finally being brought into the loop.

Am really intrigued by the twins' relationship and their backstory now. I don't know if both of them will survive the end of the season, but I hope we get more of their story.

I wish I cared at all about Cora. The only reason I care even a little about her survival is I think a dead sister will be far too much angst put on top of the angst pile that has been this season for Derek. It would have been nice if the show bothered to develop Cora, or at least gave her an Derek more than one alone scene together. That's probably my other big gripe about this season. They've spent so much time just moving the plot forward and really haven't focused on the characters connecting emotionally.

Jennifer has been suspect for awhile, but I really picked up on her potential evilness at the beginning of this episode. That look she gave after she saw Lydia drawing that tree was very sinister. Finally she's interesting to me. Very curious about what exactly she is.

Stiles and the Sheriff's scenes were funny and the most emotionally resonant of the episode. Stiles trying to convince Sheriff with the chess pieces was hilarious. His "mom would have believed me" line made me cringe a little. But it was a very teenager type response. Glad the whole thing, at least the Sheriff realizing that Stiles was telling the truth, was resolved quickly, especially for this show. Though I did wonder why Stiles just didn't tell the Sheriff to talk to Melissa. I kept thinking that the entire time the Sheriff and Melissa were talking.

Poor Holland Rodden. I don't know if they just constantly dub in prior screams or what, but I feel bad every time she has to scream her head off.

Me too. The only thing I care about her is that Derek cares, otherwise, I don't care. :D

And the twins thing...is intriguing. ♥

So why was that scream the banshee scream and not all the others? All the alphas from miles around heard it.
I didn't expect Jennifer to be bad because I kept expecting her to be the teacher to be killed!
I do keep expecting the Sheriff and Melissa to get together, and yeah...Stiles, get HER to back you up! Duh! Derek and Stile have practically NO scenes together. Love Scott/Isaac.

I think it's interesting (and funny) how differently we see the show. The Allison/Isaac not-quite-yet-but-hopefully-soon romance is one of my main reasons why I love season three so far (I do agree that Allison/Derek would be more interesting, but I never really expected the show to actually go there, and Allison/Isaac is like the toned-down version of that) and Cora has really grown on me over the last couple of episodes, whereas the scenes with Stiles and his dad made me want to fast-forward.

Not sure why that was the scream they all heard. It's possible that, I can't remember everytime Lydia has screamed since they all seem to run together now, but it's possible this was the first time everyone was close enough to Lydia while she was screaming to be affected by it/

It was always a bit of a toss-up whether Jennifer would end up a villain or end up being a victim and die at the end of the season.

Yeah, we differently seem to watch the show from different angles for most things. I haven't let Allison/Isaac affect my opinion of the season as a whole because they've played such a small part in it. I don't consider Allison/Isaac a toned down version of Allison/Isaac. Maybe if they'd let him remain rightfully pissed at her stabbing him but he seems pretty much over it, so there's no real tension or hostility there like there is with Derek/Allison.

If Cora was less female!Derek and more her own personality, I might care.

Sheriff/Stiles is one of the only real emotional and real relationships this show has IMO so I can't help but love it.

But it's great that you're loving the season and finding things to enjoy.

I adore Allison/Isaac and I think I don't like Cora b/c I feel like they're pushing this thing where Stiles is going to fall for her--can you see it? And that's annoying me.

Sorry hijacking convo.

Yeah, I can see it - especially in last night's episode. But I can't say that I mind; it doesn't feel forced to me.

It took me a long time to start caring about Cora (probably not until "Visionary") but now that I do, I'm really falling in love with her.
