Any processed food you buy is either going to be high in fat - usually bad trans fats - or high in sugar. Or tasteless. I can just about guarantee it.

It would be a LOT better if you just made your own food from scratch, it's not more expensive if you are careful about your ingredients (buy veg/fruit in season and choose cheap meats and breads) and include a lot of rice and beans. Okay, beans and lentils are not my favourite things, but they are cheap, fulling and nutritious. Breakfast sandwiches? Not to be rude, but it takes 5 mins to make a tasty toasted ham and cheese or an open grilled sandwich if you want to halve the carbs. Or you could put half a banana on some PB toast. Tasty and filling. Or fruit. Yoghurt. An apple and yoghurt. Boiled eggs and soldiers takes ten minutes max and is the best thing ever. Scrambled eggs, also really fast if you get good at it. And when you are too lazy for all that, a bowl of wholegrain cereal and good old milk has got to be a better choice. I'm not a fan of paleo though, so the only suggestions I can make towards that are bacon and eggs, which is not really that fast if you want to do it right.

Airfares are not insane even in school breaks if they are booked a long way in advance. Give your prospective guests as much notice as possible and no one should be bothered.
