Glad to hear you guys made it through ok! This storm really went all over the place and didn't do exactly what they were predicting. It was crazy to watch! Yeah, when I read he put up cardboard and tape I chuckled. All he created was blowing wet debris. Perhaps measure up your windows now and keep just the right amount of plywood on hand for next time (stored in a dry area of course). Or if you're really concerned, invest in hurricane shutters. I know they may be expensive initially, but they really do work and last decades.
