Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the question, it really made me think and discover something I hadn't realized.

When I was a kid, I didn't get to celebrate the holidays, so my favorite part about this time of year was Winter Break from school and not having to get up early to go to school.

Now, one of my favorite things is it getting colder. Living in Florida, the constant heat you sort of get used to but I really enjoy the respite when the temperature starts going down.

But I think my favorite thing is the traditions. I'm not someone who's great with a lot of change and I find comfort in the traditions and how, while there are changes, so much stays the same - listening to the same music, watching my favorite Holiday movies...It gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling. And now that I'm starting my own family, I'm enjoying sharing those traditions and creating new ones.

My parent's were Jehovah's Witnesses and they don't really celebrate any holidays. The only holiday they really observed was Passover, which I always confused with Easter. Even now I still don't really know the difference.
